Designer, photographer and digital asset creator.
Task: Site re-design and architecture. Dictated the typographical hierarchy, illustration and photography.
I initially volunteered myself as the photographer, but became interested in optimizing the site for mobile and re-organizing its structure. I started by taking screen captures of the existing site, which I then mapped out to study its shortcomings. Pinterest was used as a holding tank to research all other beer sites: posting screen captures, unique details and photography styles and examples.
The Stillwater Lift Bridge photo that the original designer found, set the tone for the rest of photography. I spent a half day shooting details on site and several days in studio and post-production making image-rich comps. Below is a sampling of my photos that were handed off to the client. The tap handles are composed of at least 9 images, the beer in glasses are also comps- just to assure consistency.
